Organic certification — Ecocert
Ernte is certified by Ecocert, one of the world's most recognized organic certifiers, to operate with organic products under Regulation (EU) 2018/848.

TRACES registration
Ernte is registered in TRACES, the European Commission's official system that issues the Certificate of Inspection (COI) for every organic shipment entering the EU. Supplier not yet in TRACES? We take care of the registration for you.
TRACES ↗The basics for any export
- Siscomex registration (RADAR) — exporter registration with Brazil's Federal Revenue.
- Commercial documents — commercial invoice, packing list and certificate of origin.
- Phytosanitary certificate (MAPA) — required for most products of plant origin.
- Residue limits (MRL) — compliance with EU pesticide residue limits.
- European labelling — according to Regulation (EU) 1169/2011.
- For the USA — FDA facility registration and Prior Notice (FSMA).
Requirements by product
Black pepper
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- Salmonella and mycotoxin (aflatoxin) controls for processed products.
- Compliance with EU pesticide residue limits.
- Good practices and HACCP at the processing facility.
Spices & seasonings
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- Controls for mycotoxins, Salmonella and unauthorized dyes.
- Documented sanitizing treatments (steam, for example).
- HACCP and lot-level traceability.
Grains
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- EUDR for soy: due diligence and geolocation.
- Non-GMO certification when the buyer requires it.
- Mycotoxin control and storage quality.
Fruits
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- GlobalG.A.P. — a practical requirement of large European retail.
- Compliance with MRLs and EU marketing standards (quality and sizing).
- Documented cold chain for fresh fruit.
Acerola
- Processor reports (concentrate/powder) and HACCP at the processing facility.
- Compliance with EU MRLs and contaminant controls.
- EU Organic — acerola is within the scope of Ernte's own Ecocert certificate.
Ginger
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- GlobalG.A.P. for European retail.
- Compliance with EU MRLs.
- Organic certification (EU/USDA) when targeting the organic market.
Superfoods
- Phytosanitary certificate.
- Aflatoxin control per lot (nuts).
- For cumaru: mind the EU coumarin limits as a flavouring (Reg. 1334/2008).
- Compliance with EU MRLs.
Organics
- EU Organic — certification under Regulation (EU) 2018/848 by a recognized certifier.
- COI — Certificate of Inspection issued via TRACES for each shipment.
- USDA Organic (NOP) for the American market.
- Brazilian certification (SisOrg) for the domestic market and origin credibility.
